I had to hard reset my phone again today and wiped out a bunch of photos I took. I am once again saddened by the Tmobile MDA. I need to get a different phone. These things are shite.
The day was quite sweet. it was Toni's birthday (the new older sister)and we celebrated with a big meal at Buca Di Beppo. Lots of laughter, lots pf gazing around at the wonderful people and a sense that even though it's completly foreign, it's pretty damn ok. I like these people. And I have found myself easily interacting with them and being very honest.
They have all decided that I won the prize... the prize for being the one who was unscathed by this man we all shared as a father. I am the only one who never knew him, and he was not only an asshole, but a cheater, a drunk and well... some other things I shouldn't print... but ask me and I'll tell you. He lied till he died. Wow, can you imagine? I really can't. But it's been great to watch all the conversations and see my mom so damn lit up! She was so wired from last night she couldn't sleep!
She can make up for it tomorrow... I have some firefighter pals coming in from Colorado Springs to collect me around 5pm and go to dinner and then there is some large gathering of a particular crowd I don't usually "like" at a bar in Denver that we will be going to... as long as I'm with friends, I'm ok. Might be some good people watching. You never know.
