The Universe shine on me...

Got a couple bucks tossed at me for a prior furniture sale last night. The lights can stay on this week, and I can afford haul up to Tucson when the job needs me to.. I feel lucky. Poor, but lucky. I woke up this morning thinking I do in fact live in a silly little paradise, and of how great it was going to be to drink a great cup of coffee, put some music on (Led Zeppelin), and get the shades up to let the light in. My Gawd! It's all so simple! Yesterday I made spicy cole slaw that I hope to deliver to Gretchen who has been laid up waaaay to long with a vertiginous condition. That girl loves some slaw! And I love me some Gretchen... Here's a cabbage-filled offering to The Gods of Wellness that our Fearless Creative Leader gets back on her damn feet much sooner than later! Tonight I have high hopes that my fave snarky blogger Michael K. will be drunkblogging The Oscars... nobody covers that event better than that man! In between waiting for all that, is the Mardi Paws event at Central School to raise funds for Border Animal Rescue. Being seriously dog starved these days, it's a good way to love on some fab pets and help support a good cause. A fashion show is on the docket, so that ought to bring some serious joy (and humiliation) to the mix. It's 62 degrees on the porch already... (only about 50 in the house) so that means truly another day in paradise in the wee beach house in the desert.
