Columbus

Here I sit at decent hotel in Ohio. I pick T up at the aerporto around 1 and deliver her to The Rock And Rol Girl's Camp and we are there for a week. Got an email from a pal in Tucson that spoke of doing all things empowering herself... That warms the bi-valve mollusks of my heart (my cockles..) she is a kickass chick who took on doing roller derby and now skates for one of the top teams in Tucson. She is one of those women who are a hero because she is doing what really matters to her. Really great to wake up to that and feel the connection to her. She skates for the Furious Truckstop Waitresses under the name Sunni Side Up.

In uneventful news, the drive from chicago had some nasty traffic delays...but about an hour outside of Columbus, it was just beautiful with the sun going down and the music on the ipod was perfectly sweet... It was one of those moments that took all of the hours of traffic delay right out of me and had me smiling as I drove. I love it when that happens! Had some veggie sushi with my wasabi for dinner last night. Perfect for sitting in a nice suite overlooking the pool that is now calling my name. Off to be submerged...
