Normal.... Illinois.

So...National Women's Music Festival... Lot's of ping pong, and I mean lots!! There will be video... It was beyond words really. But if I were to try to recap, it would be something like this:

Ping pong balls flying by you at damn near light speed, getting pelted by balls from behind by musicians weilding cardboard boxes fashioned into cricket bats, several balls in the air at one time, and laughing till I cried. Martine Locke weilded the most aggressive style, but she assured me that it's just the way they do it in Australia. The girls from Ember Swift all played fiercely... And I loved meeting them. They did a great set, and I really dug how thoughtful they all were. In fact, the conversations those girls had on virtually no sleep were wonderful.

Great to see Bunty and Julie...I have to get the french toast video up. It was too damn funny... And the french toast julie made us all a few weeks ago was some of the best ever! We are headed to the Detroit area and may stop back in Three Oaks overnight if the timing is good. We have been without computer internet access today, so I'll catch up on video tomorrow. Trina is saying what sounds like 'de plane!' but it's really Des Plaines... Shades of Fantasy Island! Word has it Susan Werner plaked a uke and did hula hoop at the same time over the weekend at Summerfest. Woulda loved to have seen that. There will be video on how much love for Susan the was in Normal.
