OK, I'll start. It's like those story circles we did around the campfire on the beach in CT!
She awoke the next morning to discover that she'd overslept, hadn't even managed to pull out the little stopper thingie to set the damn alarm. God, not again! This just was not the day to have to run around like a maniac, leaping into clothes, grabbing last night's leftover meatloaf and zipping a hunk of it into a baggie, throwing on some mascara and flying out the door, briefcase dragging by its strap.
The test was this morning and she needed to feel calm, relaxed and ready, not frazzled, anxious and having heartburn from wolfing down that cold pizza and coffee. Once she got to the testing room, she'd be able to sit and breathe. She hoped!
Riding the city bus downtown, she looked out the window from her seat in the last row, grateful for a little peace and quiet sitting behind the other passengers. Suddenly, she jerked upright, alert, horrified to realize that she'd gotten dressed without her bra! "Oh god, no," she thought, "what on earth am I going to do? It's summer and I've got nothing on but this sleeveless, white cotton shirt!"
