This morning brings stout coffee and caffeinated hope for a brave-hearted and beautiful new day.
It should be a stunning day, and it's a day to really put stuff away and tidy up the clutter here. First and foremost, so I can find some things... then because it is better for me to have less clutter. Simple things for simpler times. I have "Steel Magnolias" on in the background...I love a movie in the morning!
Saw a bunch of people hadn't seen since being back last night... most notably, my pal Jenna. She freakin' rocks! She is getting ready to become a gossip blogger so you can bet I'll be one of her biggest fans in that realm too. Some of the music I have loved outside of the folk genre has been on tips from Jenna and her guy Larry. They have impeccable taste in music! The music vibe in this area is appreciative of folk/singer/songwriter. But I'd say it goes a little more towards alt/indie/outsider-country-but cool more often than not.Fitting... we live in the desert southwest.
Let's take a moment to ponder making Miss Truvy's (Dolly Parton) "Cuppa Cuppa Cuppa" from the movie.
A cuppa sugar
A cuppa flour
a cuppa fruit cocktail with syryp
Bake at 350 degrees till a "bubbly golden brown"

I am really trying to keep the gratitude and stay focused on the next right thing in my life. Today i just want to hit somebody....it really is not random ... i know it is my neighbors ...i know i could never act on the hitting and really need to go to a cave and scream.
But it reminded me of my favorite scene with Sally Field at the cemetery.....
