A huge influence on my musical taste as a budding young addict/alcoholic.
No, really! I listened to Kate Bush, Lene Lovich, The Plasmatics, Holly and the Italians, The Go-Go's, Todd Rundgren's Utopia, Led Zeppelin and so much more... I was all over the board on music.
Today is Kate Bush's 50th birthday.
I spent a few moments going over some videos of her on youtube... and damn... it brought back a bunch of memories! And wow! Was she quirky!
I love it!
I think it's going to be nasty steamy hot here in CT today. Not AZ hot...(that's a dry heat... yeah... right!) but hot nonetheless.
I am only one cup into becoming human so it's not really fair to subject you to too much at this moment.
I highly recommend watching a few Kate Bush videos with your morning coffee... I am going to watch Wuthering Heights again now.

Happy Birthday Kate! Yes, her music takes me back too.
And it's also Buddy Guy's birthday, happy 73rd!!
Yay, it's Katemas!!
I haven't been to a Katemas party in years, but there were some legendary ones back in the day. Including the time we shot fireworks off the Harvard footbridge crossing the Charles River and almost a.) killed ourselves and b.) got arrested. (This was also the one and only time I ever played in a band in public.)
Ahh, the memories.
It's 100% accurate to say that without the music of Kate Bush my life would look *nothing* like it does today, and I wouldn't know any of the same people I do, up to and including the woj. So yeah, this is a pretty important day on my calendar every year. Happy Birthday, Kate!!
Oops, I didn't know it was her birthday.
Her music was definitely the sound track ( just not the video) for parts of my life.
Happy Birthday Kate!
The Dreaming remains one of my favorite all-time albums.
Kate is brilliant...and I listen to a lot of Jane Siberry/Issa too.
