surfing cable tv...

As I sit here in the cushy confines of a townhouse here in downtown Chicago... I want nothing more than to find a John Hughes movie on this big ass tv in front of me.

Not happening.

I will settle for Sleepless in Seattle.

It's no John Hughes flick though.

Guatemalan coffee in the gullet and I am going to haul out all of my vid stuff to try and get some new stuff uploaded. It's a good thing for me to try and catch up on the serious backlog. My blog is pretty dull without good new video. I can only post so much about street meat and coffee...

We had wedge salads last night. And it was sooooo good! Sent Natalia off with a full belly and well wishes.

Trina is in the Boston area doing shows this weekend and that should be amazing as she is very well loved up there and hopefully the weather will behave and all her peeps will come out to hear the shows. I gotta say... I love how "Hey Hey" is evolving! You gotta come out to a show and hear this one!

Well one of my hosts, Kim just got in and has informed me he is driving to Texas today. As I don't keep tabs on folks... I had no idea I wouldn't really get much time with him. But we did manage to do a fast and furious catch-up session and we might actually be able to go out and grab bfast before he begins his trek.

Sleepless in Seattle was decent company... but nothing like Sixteen Candles or the Breakfast Club.

I might have to remedy this by digging out my own copies from the van. And maybe some Uncle Buck...

Trina wowed 'em at the Wachusett Valley Folk Festival yesterday! Lots of people coming up to the CD table after her set saying, "I've never heard her before -- she's excellent!" She hung out at the CD table for quite a while, chatting with folks. I was psyched when John Gorka asked her up on stage with him for a couple of songs, both harp and vocal backing, which sounded excellent. Jane was watching like a hawk from a spot next to the sound board during that set, and at least from behind, she looked pleased... :)

It was great to get to see Trina again, and have a bit of conversation with Jane! But we missed ya, Wendy!
