Technically it's just 2 days before the day most of America goes batshit crazy with gift giving and the like...

 

Here in Hampton., my hosts are busy wrapping and getting things ready for friends and family who will be crossing through the doorway. There is an amazing plethora of gifties.

Including but not limited to:

Kneepads.
And nuts... as in a large vat of cashews. (with the emPHASis on the wrong syLLABLE)

I still don't do any kind of festivity around this holiday, and the good news is that I'm not cranky about it, it's just not my thing anymore.  Do I appreciate the some of my pals give me a bags of coffee? Of course. And for the record, I have people that do that throughout the year so that they might share their local roaster with me. The community part is the best.

And there is always me... and Marvin.

It's been great to walk in, sit down and snuggle with him. Or grab him and walk around carrying him.. or follow him around calling out his name .... you get the picture.
