Let's do this blog post.
The show last night was really great. After all the disappointment of forgetting my phone, and all of the traffuck... which did in fact happen on the back end of leaving DC heading towards Vienna... and the sound guy in training...
When all was said and done, the show was a so much fun!
Gotta give major props to the manager Ben at the venue too... that guy took such good care of every one of my requests!! I love being great with people... and when they are just as eager to be great right back!
This winter storm is really gonna have the potential to screw up travel plans... and really, since it's following us it will be very interesting.
My main question to the universe is this:
"What the hell do you expect a native Californian to do with all of this weather?? "
I mean really?
It scares me a bit. And... I am going to go get boots this morning before we head to PA. All I have is suede sneakers with no traction on them... bad ... bad... bad....
And this morning as all of this is on my brain... weather... paperwork... logistics... I gotta say... I love exactly where I am. This Winterbloom gig has been the most incredible learning experience! I really love these ladies... and the harmonies are so delicious. I feel so lucky to be out here.
