Walk The Plank?

Yes... the first night on the boat was not too pleasant. The smell of the prior resident cat and the off-gasing of a memory foam pillow mixed with drone of an air conditioner was more than my slumber could conquer. I did sleep off and on, so it wasn't a total bust. I will be out scouting window covering ideas and other items that will be needed. The old ones were so caked with cat fur it may have constituted another cat!  That, coupled with being on the water.. means constant state of upkeep and awreness. There is a bit of a termite issue to deal with, and hopefully Shawnee and  tackle that with some grace.. the place is just dirty and neglected. I had
a moment last night where I thought to myself...

"What the effin' hell have you done?!!"

That was about the time I posted to the blog at 2:45 in the a.m..

It's going to be a bit of a chore to pull it together with my limited resources, but let me state for the record: I am doing this.. I am going to turn it around... and I am going to resurrect the kitsch and charm of this wee vessel! And hopefully the 2010 hurricane season won't take it all away. Who the hell moves onto a boat at the start of hurricane season???  Did I mention I have fear about that already??  Ok... I'm in a state of changing so much at this exact moment... and a little freaked at the scale of the project that I have just moved onto. I am however sitting here watching clouds roll in ... it's high tide... and I have coffee. So no more bitching.

Plus, this was the evenings ending...

I seriously doubt you need to worry about hurricanes. Your tied to a dock, in what looks to me like a protected harbor. Don't worry about that.
Scrub a dub dub, three freaks in a tub!

Gretchen and Shawnee are coming, that's a cool turn of events. Is there any magic product that takes cat smell away!
