No, I have not found religion..I do however claim to now be the owner of this here "Buddy Christ" action figurine and he is residing in the bottom of my messenger bag. He's fun to point at people with. We had some hilarious moments at Blackberry Jam with him.
He was a joke gift from my pals in Franklin TN. They are all good church going folks...and yet not only do they love and appreciate my dirty mouth, they could give a rat's ass about the fact that I am without religion. I am on a bit of a renewed spiritual path, but it's not through any form of western religion.
I am only one cup into my morning ritual (that there is my spiritual practice) and the day is heating up and that whole "Low Country Summer" reality is setting in.
One word.
Humid.
The S.S. Smelly Cat is a temperate 74 degrees and I am not displeased with that. If I play my cards right and move my butt, I can get to the a.m. AA mtg. Which would be appreciated by my soul and most likely by others around me.
Although I will say this...
I don't really have anyone around. Since the yo shop opened I never see Cathryn socially, and we just go to our respective places of residence after the yo is done for the day. So either I need to branch out in what little time I have to do so...or I need to suck it up for now.
It makes me miss my mom and friends in Tucson and my crew Bisbee even more since I have so little connection here.
Funny...
I may be discovering that home really is where the heart is in all of this time of challenge.
