I failed to mention that when we had the bee guys out to do the removal, that I did in fact get the honey... a couple of pounds, not much considering he pulled out about 6 huge honeycombs from the gizzards of my mom's house. I am however still going to uber filter it and hope I get all of the bee guts out of it.. and then I'm gonna eat it. In fact, I want to bring it to VA to share with my pals there in a few weeks.
The cost of the bee/honeycomb removal? $1300.00.
cricket.. cricket..
So, at least I know what real honeycomb looks like.
Today mom and I are going to go see The Kids Are Alright. Really looking forward to that. And I'm happy to report that the dry heat is much more agreeable to me than the moist humid and mega heat index of South Carolina. I know it'll be cooling down there sooner than later.. so that should be good for the denizens of Hilton Head. I'm feeling pretty good about my journey thus far. I am really looking forward to moving back into my house. It can't come soon enough. Just a sense of wanting to have a place of my own, to "just be" in. It sounds hokey.. and I don't know what it all means. I'm ready for this next part... very ready.
