I cannot understand what they are saying, but the music is beautiful.

I am streaming radio out of Boston... WERS to be exact.

Chava Alberstein is singing a beautiful song... and I realize that after I dumped listening to WYEP in Pittsburgh and WFUV (where my buddy John Platt was doing uber folk..) I landed on WERS and it's been a quirky mix of perhaps jewish centric music because now it's Moma Doni and a song called Mensch Appeal. Yup... jewish centric for sure. Cool!

So there are klezmers in the back ground as I try to make sense of all of the chaos that is going on in Bisbee with the pizza place closing last week and then re-opening last night... and Hot Licks closing last night at midnight. I didn't want to be there when midnight hit... I felt sad enough. I will say this about the mood up there.. the community showed up and they hugged and ate and had some drinks in what surely would be a very memorable evening as Hot Licks shutters it's doors (again) and seemingly for the last time.

I'm gonna cook it out...work out some of my sads around all this wacky stuff with the tomatillo experiment and some more salsa making. I got the motherload of tomatoes from my pal so I will trade raw ones for salsa-fied today.

Ahh... more klezmers...
