It really did snow.

We have white on the ground... I thought it was just howling wind. And when I walked home at about 9:30 pm, it didn't seem "about to be snowy" at all! But this morning we gots the snows!

Then again, what the hell do I know about snow? I'm from Southern California.

Snow is probably not so good for brunch biz down at the wee Poco. But we can hope. The menu sounded delish as they were planning it last night. A tasty empanada making it's first appearance on the menu. Who knows how the day will turn out? Weather is soooo weird. And such a factor in a touristy kinda town.

Hats off to my mom who braved a crowd of folks she didn't know, got rides from a neighbor, made her first late night (after 6pm) excursion in years and went down to La Indita in Tucson to celebrate the life of our pal Jack who passed away a few weeks ago. It was a hell of an undertaking for her. With an email waiting for me when I got home to say she was glad she went, and that she got to meet some key people in Jack's life, it was kinda perfect. Way to go Mom!

Well, since I'm not sure anyone is letting our cheffy guy in by 8, I gotta get ready and hoist my carcass down to Poco to make sure the door gets open for him to cook up the goodness.

***and it's still snowing...***
