It may not be Old Bisbee Roasters, but Peets coffee has been basically the only corporate coffee I will put up with for any length of time. I got my pals turned onto 'Major Dickason's Blend' about a dozen years ago and it is still here in the house. So the coffee is pretty good here. But really the icing on my coffee cake is the creamed wildflower honey I procured yesterday. It is divine!! Good honey is the perfect compliment to good coffee.
My hair got cut,and as I sat in the stylists chair I once again thought about how I hadn't had a cut since I fled Hilton Head. That's like 8 months! No wonder it was so blah! It also had me realizing that time really is flying by me... At least I have banked about 8 months of happy for my spiritual savings account. That feels pretty good.
Our day yesterday was filled with laughing and a killer vegan lunch at Evolution for vegan delights. Jeffrey was sweet to get me over there. Strangely I actually ate there when it was Kung Food back when I toured with Namoli. The food was amazing, and the dude at the counter was super duper and he even brought us out a lil' peanut butter soft serve fr dessert. My pal Jeffrey has a wicked dessert thang so this pretty much put a smile on his face for the rest of the day.
The sun came out here and there, but really it's been cooler and really nice here. I do
Love that about southern California. I'm still nursing a spot under my arm where I got stung by a big old mean wasp just before I left Bisbee, and it's pretty itchy and super hot not to mention red as hell. Glad I didn't have any anaphylaxis, but this is kinda ridiculous to have it be so inflamed and yucky feeling. I guess I should just be grateful I didnt get stung somewhere really visible.
Now its time to focus on raw creamed honey..

Hey I bought some of that Major Dickason's Blend a few days ago at Safeway, they carry PEET's which I am thrilled with.
I have not cracked it open yet, but now am dying to. After I get home from swimming my mile today, I will have some and think of you on the beach!
Yay for vacation time with friends!!
Whenever I got a sting as a kid, my mom would make a paste out of Adolph's Meat Tenderizer and a wee bit of water and put it on the spot. It helps draw out the stinger to get the healing process started. Just tossing that out there...
