Living in a dustbowl.

Holy flying particles, Batman!

This house has had it's dust quotient amplipfied 1000% percent with a dusty little love muffin pit bull in here! Yikes! I am not in a position to really clean just yet as the dog is here through today and I am basically working morning till night so it'll have to wait till Monday for a somewhat deeper cleaning. Blech!

Summer is starting here in Bisbee and things are slowing down a bit as far as tourists. It means slower days at POCO, which will eventually mean less hours for me, but I think it'll be ok. I have learned to live pretty cheaply here since getting back to Bisbee so maybe all of this is just further good training for these lean times. I mean face it, the economy is NOT getting any better. So, I may as well plan for less money centric times for the forseeable future and just have a good run with that game! What has shown up in the absence of t.v. and money has been a deeper appreciation for music, some time to read some books and some genuine quieter time inside my head. The 2 week touring gig will be a decent little bump in the cash and it will be more than I made with the previous touring musicians I toured with so I am again grateful for that too! And who knows? Maybe we will all just groove on each other and get to do it again! You never know.. you really don't.

Going in completely cold with this... just a standing start, if you will. I'm ready to fire up my tour manager super powers NOW! Just waiting for the rest of the info to come my way so I can get to it. This house painting project won't likely be near done when I take off to do this tour so I have that to do in slower times in the land of Bisbee too.. I am someone who like to have something to do. I became that person... I wasn't always this way.

Or was I?

I'll have to ask The Mom Unit.
