progress and splinters.

I am not going to sand every inch of this wood. Therefore I am not going to bitch too heartily about getting some nasty splinters. I am about halfway done caulking and ready to do a second coat of joint compound before the final sanding and then eventual priming.

I think my swamp cooler got finished being overhauled for the season of HOT DAMN WEATHER that is fast approaching. Still not as hot as Tucson and definitely not as hot as Phoenix so I gots the gratitude... and some splinters in my forearms and hands.

Got my yahoo stuff all worked out and the wee bloggy is now back at youtourlikeagirl.com . I feel kinda dumb for ignoring that billing email thinking they were spamming me..

Oh and another thing??? I did score something kinda cool today..

By the way, notice most of the small holes are gone?

I looked into them online and found them to be around $800.00 and up in any kind of decent shape. That nixed the idea pretty much immediately. but, I asked a pal if he knew anyone...he did...the nice friend of a friend had me over today and said, 'Well, I paid $20.00 for it, so you can have it for that."

Ummmm.... OK!  So for now I am letting go of the alternating stair ladder I was to have built. but I'm gonna sit with it all for a couple days and ponder. The lumber had already been purchased for the ladder, so... I gotta think it all though.

However, if I used this: 

wouldn't that mean I could pull the ladder up and totally out of the way when not in use??

Well... I think it would.
