And on this last day of shows...

Yet another early day.

We have 2 shows before noon... small and for kids. The tonight is the big finale show. Out under the stars on the University of Nebraska East Campus.
Weather is a funny thing.. it's a bright sunny morning and with clear skies comes yet more humidity.. it was downright cold all day yesterday! I know I won't be seeing that again for a while. So I'll just shuddup and be grateful I needed a jacket at all in the month of June!

I am really happy that the promoter for this event got this weather tonight. She is a super hard working lady who has been the point person for all of this Lincoln stuff and she is incredible. So, humidity be damned! This day will be amazing.

And prolly a little schvetty.

After the big show tonight is a big dinner hosted by wealthy patron of the festival. She is delightful and highlarious... I can imagine my pal Gretchen just sitting there quizzing her about this and that. And the two of them getting along famously. Dunno why, but that visual is there. So a nice party to wrp this string of shows is a good thing.

And the work does not stop here...

The following morning... another epic drive to Columbus to stay at my favorite hotel in the US... that just happens to be in Columbus Ohio.

The Downtown Westin on High Street.

cricket...cricket...

Yes... really.

I worked a serious rate with the sales department so we are staying in a boutique hotel for the price of a Best Western. And I will say this about this hotel..

They have never let me down. The rooms are lovely, the service is stellar and Chef Will's breakfast is truly delicious! Hoping to see all the familiar faces there even after a couple years away... it's gonna be like no time has passed.

But time has passed. And this tour has given me perspective. And I can also say that this tour I feel like I became the tour manager I was meant to be. Doing a job I know I was meant to do. Being paid well for it, and seeing things go pretty smoothly and knowing I had something to do with that flow is a good feeling. Doesn't hurt to know that they want me to come back out with them either!

It may not be the longest run, but it's been great. And after wondering if I'd ever get to tour again, to be able to have this experience has been soooo delicious!

I did it.

I Toured Like A Girl!

And will again.

How long are you out this way? Too bad you're not in Columbus next weekend, RS is playing Pride on Saturday. :(

Yeah... next time let's schedule better. I'll at least see you in Dec. for your annual trek west.
