Still reeling from my moment at the sushi restaurant last night..my gawd, I'm too simple in soooo many ways. And I still blame Dennis De Young from STYX for melding my mind when it comes to Domo arigato...
But really, what's on my mind as I am riding the brown pony, sitting in the sunny spot in the kitchen is.. what does it take to keep this even remotely readable? This blog had a few fits of entertainment, but for the most part it's an average life in a silly town being written about after an injection of good coffee. Random thoughts that really don't make a difference but I feel a duty (mostly now to The Mother Unit) to make sure I give an account as to my well being and goings on.
Oh sure...
Others read this. People from the road check in every once in a while and I occasionally get random unknown folks popping in if a picture is riveting enough. But really it boils down to tending faithfully to a blog and wanting my mom to know what's up. In between her tv watching and her games of solitare on the computer she fits in time to check the wee bloggy. I find comfort in that.
I am the proud and poor owner of a new phone and an even more expensive cell phone, monthy plan, plus full data plan as a result of moving over to Verizon. The monthly bill is obscenely high, but if I want to keep up and get coverage, I feel like this is a must. I will say this for Sprint.. the top dude (David) at the store in Sierra Vista was fantastic about taking the old phone back and canceling service. I would recommend him in a heartbeat.
I had better make all this worth it. I know it sounds like I want to leave and hit the road a bunch ... I just want to get out there and do enough.. move up the ladder a bit, and maintain a job here in Bisbee at The Wee Poco if they can deal with my leaving over and over again.. I don't really know how much touring is going to be showing up, but I am pretty clear I need and want to be ready for it.
I'm excited about all of this at the moment. Might just be all the coffee I have ingested but I have a sense it's also just that feeling of knowing you are moving in a direction that honors who you are in every way.

Welcome to Verizon!! The only place I've ever not had full service on tour is, strangely enough, downtown Dallas, TX. For some reason Dallas is a VZW dead spot, and I have no clue why. But that's it. RS was even able to send & receive texts the entire time we were in Alaska.
And good on ya for sneaking in before they take the unlimited data plan away. What kind of phone did you get? If you can swing the tethering, that'll be well worth the $ for you -- being able to provide wifi in the tour vehicle is a HUGE plus, especially since everybody has AT&T iPhones and can't do that for themselves. Not to mention, you'll always be able to get online via computer even if your local wifi signal at home ever disappears. :)
Verizon is the most expensive, but you do get the most bang for your buck. And it's a tax deduction for you, don't forget that!!
Hi Wendy, I am trouble getting onto this blog, see what happens?
It worked, actually couldn't post on gretchen's and I thought yours was the same? Good perspective? Did you find the Mona Lisa?
