While I sit here safely on the other side of the country from where I just was 2 weeks ago, I can't help but worry for my friends who are so close to east coast flood waters. From Hampton VA to CT, I have great concern for the chaos this disaster will bring. The humans have evacuated safely and are out of major harms way.. and Marvin (my cat) will be riding out the flooding alone in Hampton and that tugs on my heartstrings pretty hard. It was the right decision for sure, but damn.. he will be alone for days and there is no telling how high the water will get. Hopefully none IN the house, but with a 4 to 8 foot storm surge likely, I guess there is no way of really knowing.
Oh Marvin... He'll be fine, but I've got kitteh on the brain for sure.
And my pals in CT... waterfront... shit. I just hope it weakens at it keeps moving. Not to mention my pals in New Haven (Hi Meth and Woj!) who will be battered with rain and who knows what?
I am sending every ounce of good joo joo I have to those affected by this hurricane.
My day is wimpy in comparision just farmers marketing and working... I'll bet any of the above mentioned would take my day over theirs in a flash. Ugh! My heart!
I gots lots of love in my heart...
