Yeah... that's what it is over here.
Morning went by too quickly and I had to shuffle away from my pal Kurt and his son early. Then the work day finished with a nice walk back up the hill with my pal Bahne and her sweet new baby Turtledove Monstersocks... (real name Charlie Savannah) getting a few sweet moments to connect and just be friends in a calm environment (the wee beach house..) and then I fed her all kinds of tasty delights, and then she left...
Was it the food?
Actually she had to get back down the hill to her car so she could then go back home and be the awesome mega mom that we all love that she is. Good human being there!
Sadly next up was an update on my pal Babs in VA and the news was tough... going downhill rapidly.. and the end could be very near. So glad I went when I did. Words cannot express how much I love my pals in VA. I know they are all assembled and talking to her even though she is being made very comfortable with morphine and basically just sleeping.
So much love swirling around her... I know she knows it's there. And my friends left behind after she goes will be cradled in the arms of a very tight knit community of incredible human beings. Loving them big time from waaaaay far away tonight.
Will be connecting with Dave Eggar tomorrow about all that needs doing for this tour next week, and I am ready for that in a big way. He got a good review in the New York Times today.. if you want to see that CLICK HERE!!!
Dave has got some seriously good stuff going on right now and I am thrilled to be a part of it!
My mind is a bit scattered and my heart is sad and that's just how it is right now. You know how it is when you are in a crunch time and everything is swirling but you refuse to freak out?
Yeah...
That's close.
The sad part is the thing keeping me kinda grounded and present right now. That'll work.
