What a night!
My first encounter with my mom with her hearing aids was stellar! The house was so quiet... the tv wasn't blaring, and she heard everything I said! Wow! That my friends, is good stuff!
We went out for a bite... and as we were finishing the meal, a humungous monsoon hit and we thought we would attempt to wait it out... but alas... Mother Nature had a different idea. After about half hour of waiting we made a break for the car and damn near floated our way back to The Mom Cave. And then it proceeded to rain for nearly another hour and a half before letting up.
Good thing we didn't keep waiting.
Now it's me looking over tomorrow's ass kicking schedule with Dave's first show at 8:30 in the morning.. I can barely wrap my mind around this.. and I'll just jump in full speed ahead as soon as I get there this evening at around 10pm.. It's gonna be so incredible! Everyone is very excited to be doing this and I love Dave's enthusiasm to be with these kids and show them what Xtreme Classical Crossover looks and feels like! This should be pretty amazing.
Flying in a couple hours.. yes... flying on Sept. 11th.
Stopping over in Dallas ( an aeropuerto I know very well..) and then off to beautiful downtown Moline Il..
All in all, even though I haven't gotten word from SF yet I'm in good spirits as my back is loosening up a bit and my stretching getting a bit easier to do so I'm happy.
And more importantly... a deliciously temperate breeze blew through the house here in Tucson... I can't help but think that it's the season getting ready to shift back into the "bearable range" now.
A girl can dream, can't she?
