What the hell....?

This scene could spark more than a few conversations..

This was how it looked at The Vanguard Club last night.  A very old and established country club in Davenport. In the audience were the people that make these residencies happen. Wealthy patrons of the arts in The Quad Cities, and all unstoppable people from Quad City Arts. Let me tell you... these folks are supremely dedicated to making sure the arts don't get squashed in this region. It's a serious uphill battle to be sure. But These wonderful people are tireless role models of how to keep plugging and making a difference. And last night as Dave and the guys interacted both onstage and off, I'm pretty sure that they truly understood just how much good all of their hard work and financial support were making that difference.

Hats off to Quad City Arts... and our point person Susan Wahlmann!

Needless to say, my day is starting off with gratitude. For this one of a kind experience and for the chance to see all this first hand.

Only 2 more kid shows, and a senior citizens center today, and then the big shindig tomorrow. And then... back to AZ. I did get wind of a ping pong party in Tucson that is happening Sunday evening which is also just around the corner from the tart yogurt place so I have a feeling after The Mother Unit picks me up and we hang a bit I'll be over there. I am catching a bit of a cold which could be the only monkey wrench in these plans.. I'm hoping I can make it better sooner than later.
