Energy.

Last night really had us soaring. A small but mighty faction of Bisbee folks being grateful for the town passing it's LGBT Civil Union measure... it gets read again in two weeks then it's officially onto the books. I asked the mayor if there was any chance that it could get thrown out and she said no!

Small town victory in a country full of hate.

Yes, I know it's not gay marriage.  But the cool part about this is, no gay faction here has pushed for any city measure for legal civil union. It was a heterosexual councilman , Gene Conners who had this drawn up.  Why hasn't it been pushed here before? How about for the most part it's safe and accepting here. I personally have never felt judged on my sexual orientation.  I personally have no beef with anyone here in town.  And this just brings us in a little closer... we are all one.  Some of my favorite people in this town have a good deal of religion in their lives... but it hasn't stopped us from being plain old Bisbee denizens who just love and appreciate each other.
