Yesterday's tornadoes in Oklahoma were devastating.. I watched on the internet as storm chasers and news crews reported. And then I texted my half sister in OKC to see if she was unscathed. And then I texted my other half sister (now in SoCal) to tell her of the tornadoes. And then after my older sister in OKC texted back saying they were fine but scared shitless, I wrapped up my texting and was grateful.

All this while the Andy T/Nick Nixon Band is driving from Nashville to CA for the festival this coming Saturday. They will basically be driving right through the area that was hit.

 Life is so precious.

And last night had me at my first Bisbee Arts Council Meeting. The official procedures were a bit difficult to grasp, and I didn't really adjust well enough to have a voice or opinion for the most part. I will say that there is so much potential to do a bit of good. And the folks on the council all seem to be smart (much smarter than I) and passionate. I survived it, and look forward to being of service the best I can.

And then, I went out to dinner with my friend Adrianna. Who has officially shifted from being called "My Mayor" to just my friend. She is a dynamic woman. Very real and authentic. We all know I feel about those qualities. Got to bed super late, but didn't care... I didn't have to be up at 3 a.m... I slept in till 5 for my workday that starts at 7.

After all of yesterday churning around in my head, I have a nice busy day that will also include packing for my trip, and then attending the City Council Mtg tonight to hear the reading of the Official Bisbee Civil Union Ordinance. It got reworded... yes. But it never got taken off the table. It's still there, and it's still happening. And the world can see that even small towns in the middle of nowhere like Bisbee have a heart... a lot of heart.
