Meg Hutchinson's "Everything Familiar" from her album, The Crossing is one that transports me to a time of driving down the California coastline with a sense of new found wanderlust. Playing Meg on a loop, it was a time I still had a little money in the bank and a super comfy quad cab Toyota Tacoma that I purchased in Monterey. That was a hundred years ago it seems. Now with that same song filling the wee house, I'm reminded of the freshness and hope that time held. I did a lot. so many adventures in a relatively short time.

It's a chilly start to the day but Meg is warming up the house and my soul. Along with some tasty coffee and the promise of gorgeous weather I am gonna grab onto that hope and freshness and put one foot in front of the next.
