Miss Gretchen and her guy Shawnee are wrapping up a trip to Isla Mujeres, and her pics are stunning, fun and nothing short of fantastic. There is a sense of adventure and art in motion in damn near everything Gretchen does. She is a role model for any human being who wants to love life and live it fully.
I have often compared my lust for life and always see how I can do more/better when watching a beautiful world or event unfold through Gretchen's eyes. I see how small I play when I stack it up next to GB. I have learned so much from that comparison. Her artist brain is beyond what my not-very-artistically-creative-brain can access. She is such a treasure trove of fun and beauty. I tout her work, and her abilities often on the wee bloggy. She deserves so much more press, fame, money, etc...
Ok... my shrine to GB is now finished.
Today is a haul to Phoenix to look at the gallery where I am putting on the Mia Dyson show March 5th. And maybe, just maybe a Natalia Zukerman sighting..
Turn and burn to Phoenix exhausts me just thinking about it.. but knowing it is for an artist I have wanted to book for so many years takes the sting out of the majority of it.
