When I jumped on the interwebs this morning, I caught wind of the most recent earthquake in Los Angeles. I sometimes tune into KTLA news and this morning it was all about the 5.1 quake and the aftershocks. Not the biggest quake, but not the smallest. And all of that reminded me of how much I feared them after we left Hollywood when I was a kid and then into my adult life
I may have hated moving from CA to AZ when I was 11, but that was one thing I did not miss.
We do not have those earthquakes in Tiny Town.
I am in a work bubble the last few days... fighting off this cold again, and long days at the wee co-op. It always takes a few hours to pull things back to order in the back room after I have been gone. I just have more of a sense of order than the other folks in the back. Which as I see that I just typed that, I realize that is nothing short of a miracle statement coming out of my thought process.
Me? Having a sense of order? That's crazy talk!
I only have tomorrow to get all my ducks in a row for my upcoming trip... I took on working Tuesday to make up for the lack of hours on what should be a paycheck. I'll claim that check when I get back... and I'm pretty sure I will be even more grateful for that little bit-o-cash when I can finally get to the bank.
I still need to get my paperwork in for my time at SXSW too.. that will help too. Today is the first day I have really had the time and mindset to sit down and try to get that handled. Oy!
