I'm the evil monster Mucosa this morning... a very productive cough has me getting the goo out of my system. Feeling a bit better and really kinda glad I had the time off yesterday to just be laid out and sleep. I feel like it was more emotional exhaustion that really got me.. but there was no denying that I had been going pretty round the clock the last 2 weeks either. Lots of peaks and valleys these last few weeks.
Now, with my next trip on April 4th, I am trying to get my ducks in a row. I had hoped to get a call from a band from Knoxville about a tour mgr gig.. but that did not happen. It would have screwed up a bunch of things (of course I would have said yes...) I would have had to have been gone a while probably costing me my job at the wee co-op. So that works out ok because I really do like working there. But it still woulda been nice. I'm excited to work with Shawn Colvin and Darden Smith for my upcoming stint in VA. Not to mention it's always a homecoming to get to Hampton and be with my crew that includes that toothless cat of mine, Marvin. And somewhere in between now and the 4th, my pal Amanda Ruzza is gonna swoop in to Tiny Town for a visit just because she had a couple gig cancellations and wants a laid back break. So fortunate she feels Bisbee is a good spot to relax! She has never been here. But I know she's gonna love it.
