Well then.. I guess I'll go do some work.

I am off to Austin at the crack of ass:30 tomorrow. It's an opportunity to work for folks I love and care about. I am the grunt labor, so there is nothing very sparkly or glamorous. But I do get to say I worked at SXSW, and I most likely will get to hear some good music.

My day got really task oriented very early.. needed to print tix for the Rachael Sage show in Bisbee on March 20th, get posters to a friend who will flyer for me, do laundry, make beds and fold towels at my pal Tad's house where a few of Mia Dyson's band guys stayed, pack, clean the house, and do some banking.

I had every intention really making my house shine, but I needed another day to get all my things done. So, I'll cram it all into the day I get back. Why the rush? Mia and Syd are gonna crash there at the nasty ass crack of dawn late Sunday, early Monday on the way back from SXSW. I of course will have food for them, and make sure they are taken care of.

So happy they are such nice human beings! You never know how folks are gonna be... and these kickass musicians happen to be stellar human beings. Two of my favorite parts of their time in Bisbee were when Mia did "Rivers Wide" for me at the show, and then late Saturday night watching the Sigur Ros movie "Heima" until we needed to sleep.  Looking forward to hearing them at the MPress Records Party on Saturday in a big way.

And I am totally jazzed to  have my tearful reunions with Meredith Tarr, Rachael Sage , and Ward Williams tomorrow. They also have a drummer and a violin player for their shows so Rachael is going "Full Sequins" on this run! That is gonna sound so sweet!

I haven't seen a full Rachael Sage and the Sequins show for years! And we get a trio for Bisbee so it's gonna be pretty damn awesome. I hope I haven't worn out my welcome for throwing shows in Bisbee.  Because this one will round out my 3 shows in 6 weeks run with some serious fun that sounds sooooo good!
