Here we are at Team Hamlin home base. The contents of the van emptied into the apartment.. the 20 ft. El-Frida parked in a 19 foot space, directly across the street from Trina's building, and now the luggage has exploded all over the place and I'm trying to organize from the last couple of weeks. Had calls from friends in Az finally... they haven't totally forgotten me yet, and that felt really grounding. I am still having an adjustment period on the time change... I like calling in the mornings, and I don't think any of my pals would appreciate calls at 4 a.m. from me as I'm trying to start my day... and then as the days get rolling, we lose cell service and are at the mercy of the errant towers across the country... seems like Trina usually has service and I don't... Damn her!!!
Driving back from Queens tonite after T's rehearsal was really cool.. the light in the sky was really muted but the colors were so neat! All those huge buildings with clouds and light behind them was quite brilliant. We have a couple days off in all actuality... Trina has lots to do to get ready for stuff, and I am going to lay around and eat chocolate and watch Maury Povich... not really. I will do what I can to help... I have a bunch of follow-up calls to make for some house concerts and such. Looks like we may get Trina back to the Indy area in August and May to play to the amazing fan base she has there.
Alrighty then... a little shout out to Mr. Layton... thanks for the call today. Loved hearing about all the great stuff you got going on... give Camby that hug for me... and get me some cheese.
That's it for today.
