The night was a raging success!! Even though the threat of rain was there, we stayed dry and all of the performers kicked ass!! Picked up Trina at the aeroporto and sped off to the venue. There was a crowd of a couple hundred people there already listening to the band Mother Jane. Rachael Sage played next and I must say, her banter is absolutely some of the best. She's awesome. Her mgr. Meredith was out with her too.... totally cool gal with family in Tucson (go figure!) And we all went to the Cracker Barrel for food with Tracy Walker and her gal Liz. I have now done Cracker Barrel and Walmart in a week... what is my world coming to? Rachael apparently does most of her shopping at the Cracker Barrel, and I must say, I have not seen a "Cornucopia of Crap" like that in a loooong time.
We are off to Cincinatti for an overnite at Tracy and Liz's place on our way to the Detroit area for the show at The Ark on Tuesday. This is Trina's first time headlining there. Should be an amazing show... if you have any pals in the vicinity of The Ark in Mich. SEND 'EM ON OUT!!! After that it's off to Chicago for the MPress Records/"New Arrivals 2" gig. That is a great cd. I have loved every track on it. They picked the cream of the crop on that. Hats off to the crew over there!
We are headed off to brunch now with the gals from the Inside Out Music Fest... hardworking dedicated and passionate about the indie artists they brought in. I highly recommend this festival if you are ever in Evansville the first week of June.
