I bet they didn't have original prices, though, eh? Nothin' like a 10 cent hamburger. Very cool to come across that old Mickey D's. There was one in my hometown and the powers that be made 'em tear down the original double arches to make room for widening the street back in the early 70's. Bummer :(

notice the single arch. originally, the chain was called "NcDonald's" as the founder's surname was mispelled on ellis island when his great-grandfather emigrated from scotland during the great peat famine of 1708. though there was some resistance from the owner's family, the marketing potential of a true scottish surname eventually trumped familial obligations.
