We did a little food experimenting after I realized I had bought WAAAAAY too many wonton wrappers...
I foraged through the fridge and did pretty good at finding some very choice items for the nicely stocked fridge here.
I also threw in some mushrooms, garlic, onion and a little gorgonzola. I quickly realized that won tons are the funnest thing to make of all time! And.... we did a few tests to see the difference of baking vs. frying and taste tests were of course very important.
Waiting their fate of which way they'd get cooked...
Then once in the oven...

We had very high hopes...
I mean, how can you go wrong?
Kelly looked over the lightly fried ones... with great anticipation.
And in the end, the majority got baked... because it was sooo much healthier.
They were truly incredible!
And then... we sat down and had a delish dinner of kapama.
Now I'm thinking of making everything into a wonton... or... a "wen-ton" .

The wontons, err, wentons, look great!
If you're still looking for things to do with wonton wraps, search for "wonton cup" recipes. Basically you put them in mini-muffin pans and bake them and fill with 'stuff'. For Thanksgiving I filled some with chicken and some with taco beef. Tonight I'm going to make some with shrimp and some with sausage. Makes great party appetizers!
