Me and the S.S. Smelly Cat... looking to hook a potential mate for her. Let's see how it goes. I will go primp her show her and then afterwards...try and bribe the dude with the only taco on Hilton Head worth eating. I need resolution for my "boating accident" in a timely fashion. My "walls came tumbling down" issue in Bisbee is finally starting to be resolved with it's final chapters of repairs beginning this week or next and then the ultimate finale... me moving back into the home I have been displaced from for a year and a half. And now.. I will be a full-time resident of Bisbee which is also going to be a new and different chapter too. That will last as long as it does... as I am not done looking around for touring opportunities. In the meantime, a list of shows I'd love to see through Southern AZ is percolating in my head. If you can't tour with them, perhaps you should plan them? I just want good music around me.
Is that so wrong?
Someday I swear, I want to see Susan Werner play in Southern AZ... She is on the dream list.
And I think Amanda Palmer, Mia Dyson,Winterbloom, Porterdavis, Jonsi, One Eskimo, Lissie, The Low Anthem and a few more of my friends...(of course... gotta have your pals come through!)
That's a long shot to put on killer shows like that, but maybe I can get one or two.

Several years ago, a friend of mine with no experience in the music world other than as a fan moved to Albuquerque for work having nothing to do with music at all. He and another friend of his started a house concert series, since that was the only way he had to see his favorite artists -- there wasn't a whole lot going on culturally in ABQ at the time.
Now, he is a full-time concert promoter in the ABQ/Santa Fe area who produces one of the most acclaimed World Music festivals in North America. ABQ is a destination for touring musicians, and not just a stop for gas along the way.
See, it can be done. Live the Dream!! :)
