So the dude who came and looked over the S.S.Smelly Cat seemed to be interested. I have spent the evening lighting candles, chanting positive mantras, and sacrificing muffins to random raccoons to conjure up as much positive joo joo as I can muster.
I didn't really chant or light candles... but the muffin part is true. Not only did Roxy get a muffin, so did her raccoon friend she had with her downstairs. Imagine my surprise to see TWO raccoons! Obviously this is the house of nice people who give freely to the critters. I almost had to housesit the possum that this same pal has... but he went elsewhere for this trip. That's probably good as he has been nippy and bitey and I was kind scared to have to tend to him.
So here's to positive motion, love and support, and cleaning things up. I'll be getting El-Frida an oil change and a once over next week to get her ready for the journey in a few weeks. Checking tires too..
If this guy takes the floater, I won't have to pay the slip fee so I'll have some cash to fix anything El-Frida needs. She's about to turn 180K and that's a mere 100K in the time I have owned her. She and I both love touring...
While I wait and see if touring will materialize again, I will work on putting a couple shows together. Because if I don't do SOMETHING with music I will not be happy.
