some planning in process.

I am making a trip.

I'm going to see my friend Jeffrey.

Which means I'm going to San Diego.

He has moved from Laguna Beach (oh no!) to downtown San Diego. I'm not going to be making the trip for a couple months, but I gotta plan this out. I haven't spent any time there in forever. And it's not that likely I will be that frequent of a visitor there but I do want the trip to rock! Plus... my pal The Reverend Chili is there! And her sister Jen! Both fabulous women who I love to spend time with.

A flight is in order.. and a need to tell Poco I will be gone for a bit. Only one weekend.. Jeffrey happily asks me if I can stay a month... recalling the days of old when I actually would stay in Laguna for several weeks on end. Being kinda low on the income scale... (and having a J.O.B.)  sadly I had to decline. I have to say... I have missed my friend Jeffrey. I haven't seen him in years. And that's odd... just like I haven't seen my ex husband in a few years.

My ties with  Southern California are finally stretching thin perhaps? I will make up for it by doing some stand up paddle boarding ( I hope...) and seeing the sights with new eyes. It's not going to be all eating at Roberto's and going to Ocean Beach... these are different times. I kinda feel ill just thinking about eating at Roberto's.. not unlike my last trip to L.A. when I attempted to eat a Tommy's chili burger... and got some serious indigestion. Signaling the end of a lifelong ritual of trying to eat that burger before the grease congealed. Oh geez.. no wonder  my body is a wreck! And while I am working towards that delicious vegan lifestyle, I am still not 100% meat free and I just take it one day at a time (for meat and just about everything...).

I mean... as far as we know, we really only have today.

So all this planning and hoping and looking forward to this trip? Smart to plan for a cheaper flight... but you never know if you get to go!
