Status report.

Oh yeah... the plumbing is a bit of chaos.

When my pal Julia came to Poco yesterday to say that one of my neighbors called Gretchen at work to say my pipes had burst..(thanks to small town living!) my heart kinda sank. The inside of the house was dry, and I couldn't see where the issue was till this morning. At least part of the issue anyhow.

Under the sink in my very cold kitchen, the plastic basically exploded. It could easily have made a flooded mess but it didn't? Dunno why... just grateful.

Of course there may be more.. and probably is outside, but as I sit here looking over at the piece of plumbing that blew itself off of it's appropriate place, I'm just kinda glad the kitchen wasn't a swimming pool, and that I have my plumber and my contractor coming over before the Super Bowl to assess the damage.  Lucky that these guys are even willing to stop by not only because it's the day of the big game, but because every plumber for a hundred miles is working  hideously long hours to get to everyone who had frozen pipe/plumbing awfulness.

Well... it's not life or death... and in the usual cruel twist of fate-like stuff we deal with, it'll be a gorgeous warm sunny day here.

Still happy to be here... I love this town!
