So I had the good fortune to be able to get a massage last night in Bisbee by my pal Ludmilla. I had heard she was fantastic, so I called and got what was possibly her last appointment here for a while. You see, she is leaving town today.. Off on a journey to places all over the world many opportunities. Who knows when she will be back? And who know IF she'll be back?
The massage was close to 3 hours long.
Holy shit!
She spent more time working on my back trying to get things to work right and go where they are supposed to. I do believe nearly 2 hours was spent on my back alone and I will say that I have never been able to have any deep work done on my lower back until now. I am kinda blown away! She was intrigued by what my back needed and just kept at it. Her patience with my ailing back was incredible. Needless to say, I am feeling very good with the work that got done, and even though she has warned me I may be sore, I am all about it. That was the best massage of my life!
The conversation afterward was around goals, lessons and dreams more or less...and she brought up good points as intuitive people often do. She asked me what really fills me up? I say being present with people and music. We bantered back and forth about how our hearts need to be in our work, and yet... if we give too much we lose ourselves. She cautioned me to stay aware of my heart's desires vs. my real talents out in the world. So I'm ruminating on that, and looking for some stuff she mentioned that might benefit me by surfing the interwebs in search of things to aid in stretching and the like.
I feel good.. the body knows it just got a real treat from a talented practitioner.
Know what else fills me up?
Lentil loaf!
It's pretty good and I had it "old school style" for dinner, which means just like how I loved my mom's meatloaf.. cold and in a sangwich. I had such dreams of parnips.. but there were none to be found here in the tiny town! So I dropped back and punted.
The loaf is pretty good for a first try. I could have cooked the lentils a couple more minutes I suppose, but I'd rather have some texture vs. moosh. Moosh would be bad.

WOW on both counts! Ludmilla is amazing!! I used to make Lentil loaf 30 years ago! Now where's my fave recipe? I am definitely gonna have to hook myself up with making some soon! Just the thought of a sandwich like real meatloaf my mom made. We took meatloaf sandwiches with catsup and pepsi too to the drive-in movies with the Pearson family, mom and dad and four kids! You brought back a great memory for me! Thanks!
