Somebody lost their pugly! In Mexico! I went down to Naco with a pal who was off to get new glasses and we wandered the super sleepy streets of this dusty little town for all of 20 minutes before we declared we were done. The eye exam and selection of glasses was done within a half hour, and the business was complete.
Seems the only thing really going on is this poor pugly has disappeared.
On our way out, it seemed fitting to snap a pic of Bahne by the statue that is a tribute to "La Madre" as she is kinda Mother Supreme here in Bisbee in my books. She would be the one who did the producing of Turtledove Monstersocks (Charlie Savannah really... but, whatever!) and also 3 more of the absolute cutest munchkins here in this tiny town.
I'm finalizing my list of clothes and gear... from one climate to a polar opposite and back again. NYC to Jamaica then back to the east coast for a bit .. CT then Boston and all the way up to Cape Cod then down to see my cat Marvin and help at a show before coming home to what will also be a super chilly place. The super cheap Bolt Bus is my friend!
If this morning's 37 degrees in the kitchen is any indication... I turned on the heat. I swear! It's now a steamy 46 in the kitchen part of the house. Living room is much warmer. Hell, I could even have someone over for coffee! Except most of my friends don't get up this early for coffee...
