That's what I get for getting in at after 3 am! Thankfully Trina wasn't here for me to wake up upon my arrival back in Manhattan. It's nearly 11 am and on deck today is Stumptown Coffee (thanks Trina..) and walking around Central Park a bit later. In the meantime one of my fave gossip blogs is doing a "huge reveal" on a bunch of blind items at noon EST so that is most likely the high point of my 4th. I do love a good blind item.

Great times with Amy and her band of merry men. Those musicians have a huge wealth of experience and knowledge about soooooo many musical things all about NYC and beyond. It's staggering how much information they know about all things music. Fascinating!

The best part?

The band sounded great and they had a blast!

Kind of a beautiful day out there.. should be around 80, and I think the out-of-doors is calling me for a brief stroll before my date with my blind item reveals.
Oh... and let's not forget what matters.. people mugging for the paparazzi and letting band tattoos be put on them!

I have been a complete vegetable today... not even a bunch of internetty stuff. Me... the tv..and not much else. In fact today is the first day I saw coverage on the whole Michael Jackson chaos. Shocking! Not what's going on... but that this is the first tv coverage I have seen.

The weather has been wonky here today... a couple of wicked micro-bursts with hella lightening and zero visibility rain... then I'm sure back to hot and sticky... though I wouldn't exactly know as I have been camped here in the hotel room. I made a few calls during all that and it added a wee bit of excitement to the day. I guess having a slow uneventful day can happen. I just don't know what to do with it anymore though. I am so used to having something to do. I didn't seem to quite get up to speed on booking stuff today... but put the calls in that I wanted to and touched base with Natalia for a spell.

And as I was taking notes on Nashville venues... I scribbled them on a cover of a Village Voice that has the one and only Rachel Maddow on it... my god, she is the best thing to happen to MSNBC in a loooong time. I am gonna have to try and fit that into my mush brain television regimen today..

I didn't write directly on her face though... I have a little class.
